I will always approach God with same love and humility that his kindness and grace demands and ultimately evokes in me. My name is Pastor Aldridge Marufu and this is my life story, a testimony of everlasting providence. I was born and bred in the city of Harare, Zimbabwe. I was fortunate to have had an encounter of the supernatural power and love of God from an early age. My parents, especially my mother, a paragon of motherhood, were a devout Christians who paid attention to raise us up in the fear and knowledge of God. One’s personal spirituality was the foundation of the value of their task in life, whatever that might be. She would intonate, in order to be good at anything, you should first to be a good individual, in the spectrum of interpretation, it meant being a believer.
In my life God has specially smiled on me even though life like a river may be rerouted by natural barriers or by humanly formed divergences like ditches and dams but it eventually will reach the sea. My upbringing was in a prayerful household, notwithstanding as a youth I was misguided, mislead, and thought I was largely misunderstood. Whithersoever when it was time, God called me and anointed me for the work of the ministry of Pastoring. I started my ministry, City of Truth more than 15 years ago. One of the things God articulated without equivocation to me about my walk with Him in ministry was that He would always be with me, to support me, promote, protect, guide, endorse and establish me. For me the fight for the Gospel then as now was in the most direct way a fight for my own life and the work even if I justified it in terms of my duty to my God was very personal. I boldly and gladly made it my business that Jesus Christ be known everywhere, and people far and near be delivered.
God speaks to the man who cares and caring includes sacrificing for the propagation of the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. Living up to the highest virtues of my calling I have given my all to my healing ministry which has seen the lamb, maimed, blind, duff and dumb, and others oppressed in diverse ways healed and transformed. I have seen the best of God, the part that is peaceful, loving, miraculous, and generous even warring. Demons on the point of burning going out running and the afflicted made free. The love of this God knows no bounds and He will go to straits to see His children free.
My passion in evangelism has seen the exponential expansion of my church from a few hundred in my early humble beginnings to an exceptional congregation of over five thousand today. I always tell people, be humble, stand still and you will see the goodness of the Lord. The same has been my experience, through patience, deference, and lowliness, God has afforded me the rarefied opportunity to ministry to huge assemblies of His children, among them highly esteemed members of society. It is an unquantifiable privilege to be assigned to His operations, in fact it is practically a great award being a preacher of the Gospel in these last days.
In as much as He, my deeply loving God, has adorned me with truly illustrious success in the most magnanimous and noblest manner, my wife whom He gave to me is the epitome of blessing in my life. She is a gemstone in my success in life and ministry, I wouldn’t be half the man I am today without her. God has combined the best of both worlds; the resilient and the strategic with the gentle and the perennial. The two of us the conquerors, the world the workplace, God the champion, the devil the buffoon. Spirituality is devoir, it’s cultivation a matter of diligence and prudence. In her the laws of faith are self-evident, faith is the first measure of her worth and self-improvement is a every personal duty. She has brought love, joy, equanimity and comfort to me personally and quintessential mothering to my congregates. Together the Lord has blessed us with two wonderful children, boys. I have never seen so child like a nature paired with so enthusiastic and adamant a willpower to enjoy life. These kids bring me so much delight. I will always be thankful to God for what He has graced me with. I thank God more so for you my reader. I want to invite you to come and worship with us at City of Truth Church and your life will be transformed too. God bless you
The story of my life is all about the grace of God that allowed me the fortune to have had an experience of the supernatural power and love of God from an early age. God has been good to me, my family and my ministry.
