THE GREAT COMMISSION

Go and make disciples of all nations.

Why should people give in Church

Dear reader, I want to encourage you to give towards our world evangelism intuitive. In the great commission, Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19), and we should all be involved.

In answer to this call of world evangelism there are many ways to participate. You should pray for the lost, you should share the Gospel with others, and you should give financially to support preachers who are working to reach the lost. By giving financially to world evangelism, you are helping to make a difference in the world. You are helping to propagate the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to those who have never heard it before. You are helping to bring hope and salvation to the lost in a dying world.

I want to encourage you to prayerfully consider giving towards my ministry. It is a righteous cause, and it is one that will make a difference in the world that the Master will thank and reward you for.

Thank you for your consideration. No matter how much you choose to give, your gift will make a difference.

Scriptures to encourage you give towards our evangelism efforts

Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

This is known as the Great Commission. Here the Lord Jesus commands His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. This means that we are called to share the Gospel with everyone, regardless of their location, background, or beliefs. The Great Commission is a call to action. It is a command from the Lord Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations. This is not an optional task. It is something that we are called to do as followers of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

The Bible tells us that we will receive power from the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for the Lord Jesus. This power will enable us to overcome fear and share the Gospel with boldness as did the apostles. The power of the Holy Spirit is essential for evangelism, it also helps us with the power get wealth and it bestows the grace to give financially.

Romans 10:14-15 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?

The lost cannot be saved unless they hear the Gospel. This means that we have a responsibility to share the Good News with others. This is why it is so important to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with others. We have a responsibility to share the Gospel with those who do not know Jesus, and giving goes a long way in helping preachers do so.

1 Corinthians 9:16-17 For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me, woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, I am still entrusted with a stewardship.

We are reminded that we are called to preach the Gospel, even if it is difficult. Paul says that he would rather die than not preach the Gospel. Very inspiring. Paul's words should motivate us to share the Gospel. He was willing to suffer and die for the sake of the Gospel. We should be willing to do the same including in the essential area of our giving.

2 Corinthians 9:7-8 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

God indeed loves a cheerful giver. When we give to the work of global evangelism, we are partnering with God in His work of salvation. In essence, we are saviours of the world through our Lord Jesus. We should give cheerfully and sacrificially.
